Babbel focuses more on helping English language learners acquire basic conversation skills. Babbel is a great language application that has a strong focus on vocabulary. Babbel also allows users to learn to understand a language by completing and repeating phrases. The application has four different approaches: sound recognition, image recognition, spelling and fill in the blanks.
Babbel definitely focuses on the quality of his learning instead of the quantity. Babbel also uses a custom lens system that allows users to set benchmarks as they learn a language and also monitor their progress. If your goal is to learn new vocabulary effectively, Babbel is the application for you!
The lessons are divided into real-world topics: you will learn how to introduce yourself, order food and make travel arrangements, so that every word and phrase you use can have a logistical purpose. This, says Babbel, is to ensure that students can begin to have real and meaningful conversations as soon as possible.
Many English learners find that learning new words is one of the most difficult things about language. Babbel uses the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to divide the lessons by level of difficulty.

6. Rosetta Stone (Free) – iphone / Android
Rosetta Stone is designed very differently from most of the language applications found on the market today. In other words, he is trying to teach us English and 24 other languages in the same way we would learn if we were children who started learning the language. Each language has a variety of lessons that Rosetta Stone has used for years to teach people. It is a good way to do it if you are looking for a tried and true method.
Within the platform, you will see that all the words, phrases and audios are in English. It is that immersion of an experience! In addition to its learning component, it also has a platform where you can schedule lessons with a live tutor every two lessons. So, if you enjoy practicing English speaking with native speakers, this could be a great extra feature.
Voice recognition within the platform has also been praised because it has been designed to specifically recognize the pronunciation of non-native speakers. I’m sure you can relate, but when we’re learning a new language at the beginning, there are many words that we know but end up pronouncing with a strange accent, which can cause a raised eyebrow or a frown. Improved speech recognition really helps to compensate for this.

8. SAT Vocab by MindSnacks (Cost) – iphone
MindSnacks is known for its fun and easy-to-use interface.
For the English language, you can now expand your vocabulary with the vocabulary applications of the SAT.
Traditionally, if you were trying to get a high SAT score, it is important to look at the vocabulary list on the SAT. But sometimes it can be boring because it’s like studying an English dictionary.
MindSnacks helps make this process fun.
Instead of studying endless word lists, now you have fun games to learn new words in English. Learning new vocabulary is easier when you’re motivated, and MindSnacks helps you make it fun.
There are nine mini-games within the MindSnacks app. Each game is designed to help you master English words in a certain way.
For example, there is a game with many balloons, there are red and blue balloons.
Then, you can have three blue balloons with the words “glorify”, “ridiculous”, “abstruse” and three red balloons with the words “absurd”, “praise”, “difficult to understand”. Each word in the blue balloon means something similar to a word in the red balloon.
You would match them like this: “glorify – praise”, “ridiculous – absurd”, “abstruse – difficult to understand”. This game is designed to help you learn new words.
In another game, you must fill in a blank space between two words.
A good application in English that makes learning new words fun. I recommend this to all English students who want to expand their vocabulary with some good words from the SAT.

9. MosaLingua (Cost) – Android
Mosalingua is another application to learn English using some effective learning methods.
For example, a common problem that many English learners face is forgetting a word after a while.
While this is normal for anyone who learns a new language, it can also be really frustrating.
Mosalingua tries to solve this problem using a method called SRS. SRS means Spaced Software Replay, and basically, it’s software that is designed to help you review the words just before you forget them. So, let’s say you forget a word three months after you learn it. Mosalingua will help you review these words maybe one or two weeks before you forget it.
Mosalingua also focuses on 1,500 of the most important words in English for practical and daily use. So, if you just started learning English, Mosalingua could be a great application in English to verify.
Between conversations and highly designed cards with SRS, Mosalingua can be a very good way to help you learn your first 1,500 English words effectively.

10. Lingbe (Free) – iphone / Android
Both Duolingo and Hello English can help you learn English and improve it. However, when you are ready to practice your spoken skills in the real world, you will need Lingbe.
It is a community-based application where people help each other and share their mother tongue.
Lingbe has a language exchange system. To talk a few minutes and learn a foreign language, you will first have to speak with someone in your native language and help him learn it.
Therefore, it is basically an application of giving and receiving where you are both the teacher and the learner. In general, it is a fun way to make friends, learn cultures and learn a new language.
Although there are many applications like Lingbe that connect with native speakers, but I have selected it because of its extremely simple user interface and its rules. You only need to select your native language and the language you want to learn and then tell you a little about your interests. This information will not be visible to other users, it will only be used to connect it with the correct user at the time of the call.

That is a good option to have. The application uses an aggressive vocabulary method. It does not teach as much grammar. Instead, teach conversational English and you learn grammar on the fly.
It also includes offline support, games and a variety of levels and subscription prices. These are pretty decent applications, especially for those who do not have a lot of time to study every day.
